My Observation: Bones & Joints Need Systemic Enzymes Support

by Joseph J. Collins, RN, ND

Like most healthcare professionals, I realize that bones and joints require significant support to combat wear and tear of everyday demands. Basic support such as calcium and vitamin D for bones or glucosamine and chondroitin for joints is a good place to start. However, I realize that dynamic interactions between the immune system, circulatory system, various internal communication systems and other systems support the optimal function of bones and joints – as well as muscles and ligaments. I know that these dynamic interactions often require more advanced support to maintain optimal function of the bones and joints. In addition to good nutrition, I, like thousands of professional nation-wide, have found that proper enzyme activity is also required by the various systems that maintain bone and joint health. roller skating

So, I teach that enzymes maintain optimal function of the various systems in the body and support overall good health and optimal quality of life. Enzymes are molecules that maintain the natural biochemical processes that take place in the numerous systems responsible for maintaining bone and joint health. Enzymes interact directly with proteins and other molecules in the human body, and support internal regulatory and communication systems responsible for homeostasis (balance) and vitality.

I have found “Systemic Enzyme Support” to be a safe and effective way to support optimal health of bones and joints. The ingesting to specific combinations of certain enzymes has positive influences on those complex processes that we need for balance and a better quality of life. I noticed that a significant amount of the published international literature is based on various systemic enzyme support formulations made by a Germany company for decades. And, I was pleased to learn that an effective systemic enzyme support available in America, Wobenzym® N, is still made in Germany, and now distributed by an American company.

We healthcare professionals use the term “compliance” to describe if someone loyally follows recommendations. The 80% plus, loyalty to this systemic enzyme support formulation is quite noteworthy, especially since “compliance” is so closely tied to “efficacy”. I realize that the high degree of compliance to systemic enzyme support is primarily due to its effectiveness.

Based on the published research and the loyalty and effectiveness seen in people using systemic enzyme support, as well as my experience with Wobenzym® N, it is clear to me; that in addition to vitamins and minerals and other nutrients, systemic enzyme support is required for optimal health of joints and bones. Therefore, my observation is that bones and joints health need proper enzyme activity for optimal function and that systemic enzyme support is a safe and effective way to support optimal health of bones and joints.
